First off, "some" can't win ONE prize. Second, as the draw shapes up, it looks like there are some competitive African squads that should be favored to advance to the second weekend.

The x-factor is the shortened games. Focusing for 50 minutes is far different than focusing for 90. The Latino teams may benefit from this since they tend to have high-scoring games and those 85th minute lapses won't be as common.
